**Pay Range:** $55.75 - $83.07 per hour
Rush salaries are determined by many factors including, but not limited to, education, job-related experience and skills, as well as internal equity and industry specific market data. The pay range for each role reflects Rush’s anticipated wage or salary reasonably expected to be offered for the position. Offers may vary depending on the circumstances of each case.
Summary:
This role will Manage the strategic, operational, and administrative aspects of an AI & Innovation program; including resourcing, budgeting, governance, and end-to-end project implementation management. This role also supports enterprise communications and business unit engagement and exemplifies the Rush mission, vision and values and acts in accordance with Rush policies and procedures.
Other information:
Required Qualifications
o College degree in Business, Healthcare, Computer Science, Data Science, or related field
o 10+ years healthcare administration, project management, IT or related field
o Proven track record of working with Hospital Administration and Operational Stakeholders to successfully implement IT solutions
o Proven track record of delivering projects on-time and on-budget
o Technical team leadership experience
o High degree of honesty, integrity, and accountability
Technical Requirements Core Skills:
o Epic Certification
o SQL database expertise
o Azure cloud platform
o Machine learning frameworks
o Creating and maintaining APIs
Preferred Qualifications
o Health system experience
o HIPAA/HITECH knowledge
o Clinical informatics background
o Vendor evaluation experience
o EHR system familiarity
o PMP – Project Management Professional

Physical Demands:
This role requires extensive computer use and mental focus. This role is expected to be available during Rush University System for Health’s standard hours of 8:30am to 5pm CT. Projects may require work outside of these hours including weekends.

Responsibilities:
1. Strategic, Operational, and Program Leadership
o Program lead for AI governance and AI & Innovation Department portfolio of projects
o Development and Management of AI & Automation Steering Committee
o Leads process to evaluate healthcare AI/ML solutions
o Works with AI/ML solution executive sponsors to do the following:
• Create project business case
• Navigate through the project intake and approval processes
• Obtain sign-off on success metric and KPIs
• Develop reports and dashboards to monitor success metric and KPIs
• Co-present project results with respect to original business plan
o Guide and support execution of data science projects
o Provide strategic and operational oversight of vendor tools
o Manages Business Analyst(s)
o Supports AI & Innovation Data Scientist Leader to execute projects and remove blockers
2. Program and Portfolio Management of AI and Innovation Projects
o Oversees and is responsible for the successful implementation of various Projects and Programs that roll up to the AI & Innovation Department
o Provides leadership across the portfolio to see opportunities for synergies and operational efficiencies
o Works with Project Managers and Project Team members to deliver projects on-time, on-budget, high quality, and delivers operational value
o Leads and oversees change management and business value realization efforts, working closely with operational stakeholders and executive sponsors
o Partner with the D&IS Leadership, Technical Leads, and other team members for Model Development and other AI solutions to create, implement, and new technologies.
o Creates strong working relationships with key operational business partners to identify and size opportunities
o Supports continuous improvement mindset and efforts across project portfolio
o Coaches and develops AI & Innovation team members to grow both personally and professionally
3. Reporting and Analytics
o Builds, Maintains, and Monitors project reporting tools for project success.
o Creates data visualizations tools to communicate with stakeholders
o Delivers monthly, quarterly, and yearly progress reports for department
4. Healthcare Software Integration
o Builds cloud solutions using HL7 FHIR standards
o Oversees, build, and maintains integrations for new and existing clinical workflows
o Experience with data migration and legacy system archival
o Evaluate vendor solutions
o Support data-driven clinical and operational decision making
