    Duties Description • Conduct single population expression profiling via laser capture microdissection, RNA-sequencing, and bioinformatic inquiry using in vivo models of Alzheimer’s disease and Down syndrome.• Conduct single-population expression profiling via laser capture microdissection, RNA-sequencing, and bioinformatic inquiry using human postmortem brain tissue from Alzheimer’s disease and Down syndrome.• Oversight and training of technicians performing molecular, cellular, and bioinformatics analyses for neuroscience based data generation. • Analyses of high throughput genomic, transcriptomic, epigenetic, proteomic, and multi-'omics data in Alzheimer’s disease, Down syndrome, and Alzheimer’s disease associated dementias.• Conduct validation studies of multi-‘omics at the gene and encoded protein levels.• Capability of generating publication quality graphical output of data analysis using bioinformatics programs including R, KEGG, and/or GO.

     

    Minimum Qualifications bachelor’s degree and five years of professional research experience** in an appropriate field. **Substitutions: master’s degree in an appropriate field may substitute for one year of experience, and Ph.D. in an appropriate field may substitute for an additional year of experience.
