Connexus Energy has an exciting opportunity to join our Accounting team as an Accounts Receivable Payment and Processing Specialist. This role is responsible for processing and maintaining accurate accounts receivable transactions and preparing timely financial reports. The ideal candidate is detail oriented, has good problem-solving skills, recognizes and adheres to strict timelines, and works well in a team environment. In this role you will have flexibility to work remote up to two days per week.
Location:
Work for this position can be performed both on-site at our campus located at 14601 Ramsey Blvd, Ramsey, MN 55303, and from your local home office as duties require. While this position is designated as a hybrid role, based on current policy, hires must reside in or relocate within commuting distance to our office in Ramsey, MN.
Compensation:
The anticipated hiring range for this role is between $20.27 to $26.61 hourly. The final compensation offered is based on the selected candidate’s qualifications, experience and skill level. In addition, this position is eligible for an annual bonus with a target payout of 5% of annual earnings based on company performance.
In this position you will:
+ Process accounts receivable transactions to ensure timely and accurate posting of payments across all systems
+ Transmit and post daily payment files and receipts to ensure same-day posting to member accounts
+ Generate and transmit automatic bank draft files
+ Investigate and resolve errors and discrepancies in member accounts
+ Balance daily cash receipts to CIS and bank transactions
+ Communicate with members and others in responding to payment-related requests and concerns
+ Process estate payouts, unclaimed checks, and other various processes related to capital credits
+ Coordinate and complete annual unclaimed property filings for all states, ensuring compliance with state-specific escheatment requirements and deadlines.
+ Update and maintain treasury-related reports and spreadsheets for Finance and Treasury teams
+ Post payments using a variety of systems and apply credit memos and adjustments/write-offs as needed in the AR system
Need to have:
+ Associate's degree or certificate in accounting or related field
+ One or more years of experience in electronic payment posting
+ Solid understanding of fundamental accounting principles and accounts receivable processes
+ Proficiency in computer applications, with the ability to learn and adapt to new financial and payment processing systems
+ Exceptional attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy in processing large volumes of payment data
+ Proficient data entry skills with speed and accuracy
Nice to have:
+ Financial services or banking experience
+ Familiarity with unclaimed property and escheatment processes is a plus
