Are you an experienced Accounting professional ready to take the next step in your career? Our client in the Cedar Rapids area is looking for a detail-oriented and highly organized Accountant to join their team on a contract-to-hire basis. This is an excellent opportunity to contribute your expertise while enjoying the flexibility of a contract role with the potential for permanent placement.

Responsibilities:

+ Prepare and examine financial records, ensuring compliance with GAAP standards.

+ Manage accounts payable and receivable processes.

+ Reconcile ledger accounts and bank statements.

+ Assist with month-end and year-end close processes.

+ Generate financial reports and analyses to support management decision-making.

+ Collaborate with internal teams to optimize accounting processes.

+ Ensure accurate and timely tax filings and regulatory reporting.

Requirements

Requirements:

+ Bachelor's or Associate degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field

+ 2+ years of experience in accounting or a related role.

+ Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, or similar platforms).

+ Strong understanding of accounting principles and regulations.

+ Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

+ Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time-management abilities.

+ Communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively in a collaborative environment.
