Description We are looking for a skilled Database Developer to join our team in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, for a long-term contract position. In this role, you will leverage your expertise in database design, development, and optimization to ensure the seamless operation of both production and development environments. This position offers the opportunity to work with cutting-edge technologies while contributing to the enhancement of data integrity and system performance.

Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and deploy robust database solutions tailored to organizational needs.

• Take ownership of existing database code and schema, troubleshooting issues and driving improvements.

• Maintain and optimize production and development environments to ensure reliability and efficiency.

• Create and refine Entity Relationship (ER) data models to support business processes.

• Provide recommendations to enhance data integrity, availability, and overall performance.

• Continuously improve server environments and database processes through innovation and best practices.

• Manage index tuning and production refreshes for SQL Server databases.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate database solutions with other systems.

• Utilize advanced performance tuning techniques to optimize query execution.

• Ensure compliance with organizational standards and best practices in database management. Requirements • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

• A minimum of 8 years of experience in SQL Server development and database design.

• Proficiency in database technologies, including SQL, Oracle, PostgreSQL, and Microsoft SQL Server.

• Expertise in data modeling, schema design, and Entity Relationship (ER) modeling.

• Strong knowledge of XML technologies, .NET, and PL/SQL.

• Experience with SSIS, SSRS, and SSAS for data integration and reporting.

• Proven ability to optimize query performance and conduct database tuning.

• Familiarity with shredding techniques and other advanced database functionalities. Technology Doesn't Change the World, People Do.®
