Description

We are looking for a detail-oriented Accounting Specialist to join our team in Bloomington, Minnesota. In this role, you will play a critical part in managing financial transactions, maintaining records, and ensuring the accuracy of accounting processes. If you have a strong background in accounts payable, accounts receivable, and financial reconciliation, we encourage you to apply.

Responsibilities:

• Gather and organize financial documents and related information to prepare for accounting tasks.

• Process invoices by verifying transaction details, scheduling payments, and obtaining necessary authorizations.

• Generate revenue by computing charges, preparing invoices, and addressing delinquent accounts or insufficient payments.

• Manage collections by following up on overdue accounts and informing customers of outstanding balances.

• Create financial reports by compiling, analyzing, and summarizing account data and trends.

• Post transactions to accounting ledgers to maintain accurate financial records.

• Reconcile accounts by reviewing statements and resolving discrepancies.

• Investigate and resolve account issues by issuing adjustments, stop payments, or corrections as needed.

• Ensure financial security by adhering to internal accounting controls and completing regular database backups.

• Preserve financial records by filing accounting documentation for historical reference.

This is a fully onsite role. Beginning compensation for this role is $24-29/hr, depending on experience. A discretionary bonus potential is also included in compensation package, and full benefits including Health,

Requirements • Proficiency in accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR) processes.

• Experience with data entry and invoice processing.

• Ability to perform bank account and credit card reconciliations.

• Familiarity with general ledger systems and maintaining accurate ledgers.

• Strong skills in Microsoft Excel, including the use of formulas.

• Knowledge of commercial collections processes.

• Attention to detail and excellent organizational abilities.

• Ability to work collaboratively and contribute to team objectives.
