Description We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Financial Reporting Senior Accountant to join a dynamic, growing finance team.
Job Summary:
The Financial Reporting Senior Accountant will play a crucial role in ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting for the organization. This individual will leverage their extensive public accounting background and expertise in the oil and gas sector to contribute to the success of the finance department.
Responsibilities will include:
• Prepare accounting entries on a monthly basis ensuring timely and accurate reporting.
• Perform variance analysis and investigate discrepancies to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for improvement.
• Prepare and analyze financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements, in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
• Collaborate with outside departments to provide accounting information to support internal stakeholders in making business decisions.
• Prepare and review monthly accruals and the subsequent actuals to ensure accuracy.
Experience and Qualifications:
CPA is preferred or be actively working towards obtaining it.
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in financial accounting/reporting, with a focus on the oil and gas industry.
Strong understanding of public company financial reporting requirements.

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in financial reporting, with a focus on the oil and gas industry.
• Strong proficiency in SEC financial reporting and monthly reporting processes.
• In-depth knowledge of public company financial reporting requirements.
• CPA certification or active pursuit of CPA credentials is highly preferred.
• Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Proficient in accounting software and tools relevant to the industry.
• Ability to communicate complex financial concepts effectively to diverse stakeholders.
