Description We are looking for an experienced Senior Accountant to join our team on a contract basis in Austin, Texas. In this role, you will play a key part in overseeing financial processes, ensuring accurate reporting, and supporting the organization’s accounting operations. Responsibilities:
• Prepare and post journal entries to maintain an accurate general ledger.
• Oversee the month-end close process, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting.
• Reconcile balance sheets and bank accounts to ensure consistency and accuracy.
• Manage payroll processes and ensure compliance with company policies and regulations.
• Perform detailed account reconciliations to resolve discrepancies and maintain data integrity.
• Utilize Microsoft Excel to analyze financial data and generate reports.
• Collaborate with the manufacturing team to manage inventory accounting and reporting.
• Provide support for audits by preparing necessary documentation and responding to inquiries.
• Leverage NetSuite to streamline and enhance accounting workflows.
• Identify areas for process improvement and implement efficient accounting practices. Requirements • Proven experience in accounting roles, particularly with month-end close and general ledger management.
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including advanced functions for data analysis.
• Hands-on experience with journal entries and account reconciliations.
• Familiarity with balance sheet and bank reconciliation processes.
• Knowledge of accounting practices in a manufacturing environment, including inventory management.
• Experience working with NetSuite or similar ERP systems.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced setting.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
