Description We are looking for a Financial Reporting Manager to join our team on a contract basis in Des Moines, Iowa. In this role, you will focus on optimizing financial systems and processes, ensuring compliance with fund accounting standards, and providing valuable insights to stakeholders. This position offers an exciting opportunity to collaborate across departments within a non-profit organization.
Responsibilities:
• Act as the primary NetSuite expert, managing system configurations, workflows, and integrations to enhance functionality.
• Partner with Finance and Accounting teams to ensure NetSuite supports fund accounting needs, including tracking grants and donor contributions.
• Oversee the maintenance and improvement of NetSuite modules such as General Ledger, Accounts Payable/Receivable, Fixed Assets, Procurement, and Budgeting.
• Develop and maintain customized reports, saved searches, dashboards, and key performance indicators for internal use.
• Lead or assist with NetSuite upgrades, module implementations, and system enhancements.
• Ensure the accuracy of financial data through regular reconciliations and troubleshooting of system issues.
• Provide training and ongoing support to users across departments to promote system efficiency and compliance. Requirements • Proven expertise in financial reporting, including SEC reporting and annual financial statements.
• Strong knowledge of fund accounting principles, particularly in a non-profit environment.
• Proficiency with NetSuite, including configuration, reporting, and workflow management.
• Experience managing modules such as General Ledger, Accounts Payable/Receivable, and Fixed Assets.
• Ability to design and maintain custom dashboards, reports, and data searches.
• Skilled in troubleshooting and resolving financial data discrepancies.
• Excellent communication skills to train and support users across departments.
