    We are looking for an experienced Accounting Manager to join our team in Rutland, MA. In this role, you will oversee financial operations, ensure compliance with accounting standards, and contribute to the success of our construction-focused organization.     Responsibilities:

    • Oversee all financial operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and the preparation of financial statements.

    • Develop, implement, and provide training on accounting software systems to optimize team efficiency.

    • Generate weekly cash flow reports and ensure accurate reconciliation of bank accounts, general ledgers, and credit card accounts.

    • Process payroll using Harper’s Payroll and Sage 100C, ensuring timely and accurate payment.

    • Manage vendor payments, issue checks, and handle remote deposit processes efficiently.

    • Collaborate with the President and Project Managers to prepare and process client billing in a timely manner.

    • Calculate and file monthly sales tax and compile year-end financial documentation for external audits.

    • Maintain detailed payroll records and prepare timesheet reports for accurate tracking and reporting.

    • Handle project closeouts by preparing and balancing final requisition breakouts.

    • Stay current with industry trends and best practices by attending relevant training sessions.

    Requirements

    + 5-10 years of industry experience

    + Sage and AIA strongly preferred…Procure, Textura, and GC Pay a plus

    + Must have all areas of accounting from AP/AR to closing the books

    + Payroll processing experience a plus
