Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Accounting Specialist to join our team in Spartanburg, South Carolina. This role offers a Contract to permanent opportunity within a dynamic non-profit organization, providing an excellent chance for career growth. The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in maintaining financial records and ensuring accuracy in accounting processes.

Responsibilities:

• Review and adjust journal entries by analyzing general ledger accounts.

• Conduct account reconciliation tasks, including bank statement reviews and intercompany general ledger accounts.

• Maintain and update the general ledger chart of accounts to ensure accuracy and compliance.

• Assist in evaluating and implementing internal controls to support financial integrity.

• Prepare and post monthly, quarterly, and annual accruals.

• Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes efficiently.

• Oversee billing functions to ensure timely and accurate invoicing.

• Analyze financial data to identify discrepancies and propose solutions. Requirements • Strong knowledge of accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR) processes.

• Proficiency in performing billing functions with accuracy.

• Experience in account reconciliation and general accounting practices.

• Familiarity with maintaining general ledger accounts and charts.

• Ability to analyze financial data and prepare accurate journal entries.

• Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.

• Effective communication abilities to collaborate with team members.
