Description
We are looking for a skilled Compensation & Benefits Specialist to join our team in the Upstate, SC area. In this role, you will play a key part in managing employee benefits programs, advising on eligibility and coverage, and supporting the annual personnel budgeting process. This position offers an excellent opportunity to collaborate with both HR and finance teams to ensure seamless benefits administration.
Responsibilities:
• Provide clear guidance to employees regarding benefit plans, eligibility criteria, and any changes to coverage or provisions.
• Maintain compliance by completing required documentation and reporting in adherence to federal, state, and provider regulations.
• Assist in evaluating and selecting benefit carriers and plans by analyzing quotes, coverage options, and historical performance.
• Collaborate with the finance team to support the development of the annual personnel budget.
• Oversee the administration of claims, COBRA processes, and other benefits-related functions.
• Ensure all communications regarding benefits are timely, accurate, and effectively delivered to employees.
• Participate in open enrollment activities, including minimal travel to other company sites as needed.
• Conduct periodic audits of benefits programs to ensure accuracy and compliance.
Requirements • A minimum of 3 years of experience in compensation and benefits or a related field.
• A bachelor's degree is preferred but not mandatory.
• Strong background in finance or accounting is highly desirable.
• Proficiency in benefits-related tools and systems, including claims and COBRA administration.
• Excellent communication skills to provide clear and concise information to employees.
• Familiarity with auditing processes and compliance standards.
• Bilingual abilities are a plus, though not required.
• Availability for occasional travel, typically once a year.
