• AWS Cloud Security Engineer

    Description

    We are seeking a highly skilled Cloud Security Engineer to support our security team during a critical post-acquisition integration. This role is essential in bringing newly acquired cloud infrastructure under our security umbrella, with a strong focus on AWS environments. The ideal candidate is an independent, proactive professional with deep cloud security expertise and a passion for automation.

    Key Responsibilities:

    + Lead cloud security integration efforts following a recent acquisition.

    + Configure and optimize AWS services including:

    + Web Application Firewall (WAF)

    + GuardDuty

    + CloudTrail

    + Lambda functions

    + Design, write, and configure custom AWS Lambda functions to support integration and security needs.

    + Implement and maintain SIEM tools, primarily Splunk, for monitoring and event management.

    + Develop automation scripts and tools using Python to streamline security operations.

    + Collaborate with internal teams to ensure security configurations align with business and compliance objectives.

    + Identify and mitigate integration risks with robust, scalable security solutions.

    Requirements

    + Proven experience as a Cloud Security Engineer, with a strong focus on AWS.

    + Hands-on expertise with AWS security services: WAF, GuardDuty, CloudTrail, Lambda.

    + Proficiency in Splunk or similar SIEM platforms.

    + Strong Python scripting skills for automation and tooling.

    + Experience working independently in remote environments.

    + Familiarity with cloud integration best practices, especially in the context of M& A (mergers and acquisitions).
