Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our team on a long-term contract basis. In this role, you will support key accounting functions, including accounts payable, expense reporting, and month-end close processes. This position is based in Irvine, California, and offers an excellent opportunity to work within the healthcare industry.

Responsibilities:

• Process and reconcile lab invoices, addressing discrepancies and collaborating with lab vendors to resolve issues.

• Manage vendor statements and ensure timely communication with suppliers.

• Oversee expense reporting in Concur, including a thorough three-stage review process.

• Enter accounts payable transactions, obtain necessary approvals, and utilize translation tools as needed.

• Assist with month-end close activities, including preparing inventory journals, prepaids, accruals, and journal entries for expense reports.

• Conduct check runs and generate ad-hoc financial reports as required. Requirements • Proficiency in accounting software such as Sage Intacct and Concur.

• Intermediate Excel skills, including the ability to use pivot tables and VLOOKUP functions.

• Strong understanding of corporate tax, sales tax, and corporate tax return processes.

• Experience with journal entries and maintaining the general ledger.

• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.

• Ability to work collaboratively with vendors and internal teams.
