    Overview:

    An Industrial Engineer position is currently available in East Hartford, CT. This job is a full-time direct position with benefits. This position will be working in a manufacturing environment drafting new shop-floor layouts in CAD, obtaining approval on industrial projects, oversee projects with equipment install and moves. Working on an individual level and within a larger team, this position needs great communication skills, high attention to detail, and an ability to self-manage daily tasks.

    Key Responsibilities:

    * Interface daily with customers

    * Support projects, schedule meetings, report out information, and demonstrate successful methods to work around roadblocks or delays.

    * Work five days per week in a customer facing environment.

    * Evaluate tasks, create drafts utilizing CAD software, present to product owners.

    * Develop action items and assign to responsible parties, ensure tasks are completed within timeline.

    * Ability to balance multiple projects at once.

    Required Qualifications:

    * Degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Engineering Technology, or similar.

    * Experience with customer facing roles in Project, Business, or similar.

    * Technically strong with the ability to run tasks to ground.

    * Strong CAD skills are a must. Basic MS Office knowledge, particicuarly Excel, is required.

    * Strong self-management, the ability to work independently, as well as on a team, is required. Must be outgoing, enjoy solving problems, and be an excellent communicator (written and verbal).

    * Ability to absorb information, ask questions, run problems to ground, and deliver positive outcomes.

    * US Citizenship is required due to the nature of the work

    Preferred Skills:

    * Experience working in machine shop or manufacturing environments.

    * Knowledge of lean manufacturing, PPAP, or quality engineering practices.

    * AutoCAD and blueprint reading skills.

    * Familiarity with GD&T and engineering documentation.
