    Robert Half Finance & Accounting (Maitland, FL)


    Description We are looking for an experienced Tax Staff member to join our team in Maitland, Florida. This role involves preparing a variety of tax forms for individual and corporate clients across diverse industries, with a particular focus on the real estate sector. The successful candidate will contribute to a paperless, technology-driven environment and must possess strong tax research and preparation skills.

    Responsibilities:

    • Prepare individual (1040) and corporate tax returns for a range of clients across various industries.

    • Handle tax filings for specialized forms, including those related to real estate and nonprofit organizations.

    • Conduct thorough tax research to ensure compliance and identify optimal strategies for clients.

    • Utilize QuickBooks to manage client financial data accurately and efficiently.

    • Collaborate with team members to meet deadlines and maintain high-quality standards in a paperless workflow.

    • Work extended hours, including Saturday mornings, during the busy season to meet client demands.

    • Stay up-to-date with changes in tax laws and regulations to provide informed guidance.

    • Review and verify data for accuracy and completeness before submission.

    • Contribute to a collaborative team environment by sharing insights and solutions. Requirements • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field.

    • Minimum of 2 years of experience in tax preparation, including individual and corporate returns.

    • Proficiency in QuickBooks and familiarity with paperless accounting systems.

    • Strong knowledge of tax regulations, particularly those applicable to real estate clients.

    • Ability to work independently while adhering to established review processes.

    • Excellent analytical and organizational skills to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.

    • Commitment to working 50-55 hours during the busy season, including Saturday mornings.

    • Actively pursuing or holding a CPA certification is preferred.
