A busy company in the Hanover area is seeking a Accounts Payable Specialist to join their growing organization. This Accounts Payable Specialist will get the chance to join a growing team that offers excellent collaboration and opportunity for career advancement. The ideal Accounts Payable Specialist will be local to the Hanover area and come with intermediate Excel skills. This Accounts Payable Specialist must also be very organized and have the ability to multitask as they will help in other areas of accounting too. Accounts Payable Specialist Responsibilities:
• Process vendor invoices by verifying pricing, quantities, and purchase order numbers before entering them into the accounting system.
• Match invoices with corresponding purchase orders to ensure compliance and proper authorization.
• Prepare and issue payments to vendors, including electronic transfers and checks, in accordance with payment schedules.
• Reconcile vendor statements with internal records to identify and resolve any discrepancies.
• Input financial data into the accounting system, ensuring accuracy in invoice details, payment records, and vendor information.
• Follow company policies and procedures related to accounts payable, including adherence to internal controls and tax regulations.

Requirements
• At least 1-3 year of experience in accounts payable or a similar financial role.
• Proficiency in processing invoices, including coding and matching them to purchase orders.
• Experience with check runs and payment processing.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in financial data entry.
• Ability to resolve discrepancies and reconcile vendor statements effectively.
• Familiarity with accounts payable systems and procedures.
• Solid organizational and time management skills to meet payment schedules.
