Position Overview:
In this role, the Accounts Receivable Specialist will manage customer invoicing, collections, and payment application while providing administrative and customer service support. This position plays a key role in ensuring timely and accurate cash flow, maintaining account accuracy, and supporting general ledger integrity.
Key Responsibilities:
+ Apply payments to customer accounts and record daily deposits
+ Post receipts to appropriate general ledger accounts and verify transactional accuracy
+ Communicate with customers to resolve discrepancies, including short payments, skipped invoices, and other billing issues
+ Perform account research and analysis to resolve outstanding issues
+ Develop positive relationships with customers while educating them on account status and payment expectations
+ Conduct routine collection calls on past due accounts
+ Process credits and debits to maintain accurate financial records
+ Support the month-end close process through journal entry preparation and balance sheet reconciliations
+ Participate in special projects and ad hoc reporting as needed
+ On-site attendance required
Salary and Benefits:
The pay range for this position is $26-29/hour, eligible for overtime. Benefits offered with this position include Medical, Dental and Vision Coverage, 401k w/ a 4% match, and 3 weeks of PTO, along with other supplemental benefits.
Requirements
+ Bachelor’s degree in Business or Accounting preferred; relevant experience may be considered in lieu of degree
+ 1-3 years of experience in Accounts Receivable or related role
+ Experience working within ERP and MRP systems; Microsoft D365 strongly preferred
+ Strong computer skills, including proficiency with Excel (vLookup, Pivot Tables)
+ Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot and resolve billing and payment discrepancies
+ Strong interpersonal communication skills and ability to collaborate across departments
+ Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving abilities
