Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our team in Newport Beach, California. This long-term contract position requires a blend of office and remote work, with 2-3 days a week in the office and the flexibility to work from home using company-provided equipment. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple accounting responsibilities effectively.

Responsibilities:

• Process and pay accounts payable invoices for multiple entities using accounting software.

• Perform monthly bank reconciliations for various accounts.

• Record payroll entries for multiple entities in the general ledger.

• Manage interest entries and corporate credit card transactions, including processing and payments.

• Prepare budget-to-actual reports for specific entities.

• Enter and track payments for autopayments and record fund transfers between accounts.

• Create detailed cash flow statements for multiple family members.

• Complete ad hoc accounting projects as assigned.

• Communicate effectively with multiple CEOs and stakeholders within the organization. Requirements • Proficiency with accounting software and the ability to adapt quickly to proprietary systems.

• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables and complex formulas.

• Strong verbal and written communication skills to interact with executives and team members.

• Experience with corporate tax, sales tax, and corporate tax returns.

• Ability to perform journal entries and manage general ledger accounts.

• Detail-oriented with strong organizational and multitasking capabilities.

• Flexibility to adjust work hours as needed for project demands.
