Description

We are looking for a highly skilled Senior Accountant to join our team in Dallas, Texas. In this role, you will oversee complex accounting operations, including intercompany transactions, account reconciliations, and month-end close processes. The ideal candidate brings a deep understanding of accounting principles and a proactive approach to resolving discrepancies and improving financial procedures.

Responsibilities:

• Manage and reconcile intercompany transactions across multiple entities, including sales, shared costs, and loans.

• Prepare and post intercompany journal entries that align with US regulations and transfer pricing policies.

• Coordinate monthly intercompany confirmations and ensure timely settlements and eliminations during consolidation.

• Perform thorough reconciliations of trade payables and receivables, addressing unmatched or aging items.

• Oversee prepaid expense accounts, including proper amortization schedules and accurate expense recognition.

• Prepare monthly accruals for utility and freight expenses using historical data and invoice timing.

• Collaborate with finance teams to resolve discrepancies and streamline intercompany processes.

• Assist in month-end and year-end close activities, including journal entries, reconciliations, and reporting.

• Support audit requests related to intercompany, trade, prepaid, and accrued liabilities.

• Identify and implement opportunities for automation and process improvements within accounting workflows.

Requirements • Proven experience with month-end and year-end close processes.

• Strong knowledge of general ledger accounting and journal entry preparation.

• Proficiency in performing detailed account reconciliations, including bank reconciliations.

• Expertise in managing prepaid accounts and creating accurate amortization schedules.

• Familiarity with intercompany accounting, including compliance with transfer pricing policies.

• Ability to analyze variances between actual and accrued expenses and provide clear explanations.

• Excellent collaboration skills to work with cross-functional teams and resolve discrepancies.

• Advanced proficiency in accounting software and tools to support efficient workflows.
