    Summary:The Vice President, Business Development is both a strategic leader and a hands-on sales driver, responsible for shaping and executing Sevan-s revenue growth strategy while personally engaging in high-impact business development efforts in the Architecture, Engineering & Construction (AEC) industry. This role leads and mentors a team of business development professionals, builds and expands client relationships, and drives initiatives to secure new opportunities across our key sectors including QSR, grocery, c-store, retail, housing, healthcare, and government markets. Success in this role is measured by the ability to achieve or exceed revenue targets through a combination of strategic planning, team leadership, and individual sales performance.

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

    + Strategic Leadership: Develop and execute comprehensive sales and revenue growth strategies, including identifying target clients, planning and attending conferences and trade shows, and managing outreach campaigns. Lead and mentor a team of business development professionals, supporting their individual pursuit of new business opportunities and ensuring alignment with organizational objectives. Drive the creation and implementation of tactical sales plans to support company-wide revenue goals.

    + Sales & Revenue Generation: Consistently achieve or exceed established revenue targets through direct sales efforts and team performance. Establish and maintain a robust pipeline of qualified opportunities through proactive relationship-building and market research. Oversee the full sales cycle, including needs analysis, proposal development, negotiation, and deal closure.

    + Customer Success & Engagement: Build and expand new client relationships, ensuring a strong understanding of client needs and delivering tailored solutions. Serve as a trusted advisor to clients, effectively communicating Sevan-s value propositions and capabilities. Represent Sevan at meetings, conferences, and other external events, showcasing expertise and thought leadership.

    + Operational Excellence: Manage and oversee CRM usage to ensure accurate and comprehensive tracking of prospect and client information. Collaborate with operations and finance teams to ensure seamless communication of account obligations and successful project execution. Prepare and distribute agendas, proposals, cost estimates, and briefing documents for internal and external stakeholders.

    + Documentation & Proposal Writing:Create and review proposals, cost estimates, and briefing documents for internal and external meetings, ensuring consistency, quality, and alignment with Sevan-s standards.

    + Team Leadership: Develop and retain top talent within the business development team. Provide regular coaching and feedback to team members, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and accountability. Align team activities with organizational goals and promote collaboration across departments.

    + Client Relations & Industry Presence: Build effective relationships with customers, design teams, subcontractors, suppliers, and other stakeholders to uphold Sevan-s values and meet or exceed expectations. Drive quality initiatives by evaluating project-related processes and using customer feedback to implement improvements.

    + Collaboration:Partner with Marketing to develop integrated campaigns that generate leads, build brand awareness, and drive customer acquisition. Work cross-functionally with executive leadership and other departments to align company-wide strategies and ensure seamless integration of initiatives and priorities.

    Qualifications:

    + Bachelor-s degree from an accredited college or university preferably in Business, Marketing, or related field.

    + Ten (10) plus years of business development experience in the Architecture, Engineering, and Construction (AEC) industry.

    + Experience managing and developing a high-performing team.

    + Experience with national and international clients.

    + Demonstrated ability to lead and execute the full sales cycle from prospecting to closing. Proven track record of driving revenue growth and meeting or exceeding sales targets.

    + Must have strong computer skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Dynamics CE.

    + Must possess excellent perception and problem-solving skills, and the ability to quickly recognize opportunities.

    + Excellent communication and presentation abilities, both written and verbal.

    + Ability to prioritize and manage multiple initiatives effectively.

    + Strong networking and relationship-building skills.

    + Experience in multi-site projects preferred.

    Pay & Benefits:

    The anticipated base compensation range for the position is $170,000 to $200,000, is based on a full-time schedule, market and business conditions, and is commensurate on individual education, qualifications, and experience. Benefits include medical, dental, vision, life, and disability insurances, flexible paid time off, paid holidays, sick time, and a matching 401K plan.

    Work Conditions& Travel:

    This is a remote based role with recurring travel as needed. A highly collaborative environment that flourishes when individual and team contributions combine to achieve target goals and objectives. Able to work remotely in a home office setting and manage time effectively with multiple projects and deadlines. Travel (30% - 60%) to client meetings and events as needed. Regularly required to sit; occasionally required to stand; walk; occasionally lift and/or move up to 15 pounds.
