Software Engineer Senior

Our work depends on **Senior Software Engineer specializing in Test Automation** to join our highly skilled team. In this role, you will be responsible for **setting up and leading the development of a test automation framework from the ground up** , ensuring our software systems are robust, scalable, and reliable.
You’ll work closely with developers, QA engineers, DevOps, and product teams to design, implement, and integrate automation solutions into our CI/CD pipelines, while advocating for best practices and a quality-first mindset across the organization.
HOW A SOFTWARE ENGINEER SENIOR WILL MAKE AN IMPACT
+ **Design and build an automated testing framework from scratch** for UI, API, and integration testing across our application stack.
+ Evaluate tools and technologies for automation based on project and organizational needs.
+ Develop, execute, and maintain scalable automated test scripts using tools such as **Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, Appium, xUnit, NUnit, MSTest, JUnit, TestNG, or Pytest** .
+ Integrate automated tests with CI/CD pipelines using tools like **Jenkins, Octopus Deploy, GitHub Actions, or GitLab CI/CD** .
+ Define and implement test strategy, coverage goals, and quality metrics.
+ Work collaboratively with developers and product teams to ensure testability and quality are considered from the early stages of development.
+ Identify, report, and track software defects and assist with debugging and root cause analysis.
+ Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior engineers and QA staff in test automation practices.
+ Stay current with trends in test automation, tools, and best practices to continuously improve processes and frameworks.
WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED:
• Education:
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• Required Experience: 5+ years professional software engineering experience with a strong focus on test automation.
• Required Technical Skills:
+ Proven experience in **setting up test automation frameworks from scratch** in a professional environment.
+ Proficiency in programming languages such as **C#,** **Java, Python, JavaScript** .
+ Experience with Mock and Dependency Injection tools.
• Security Clearance Level: Secret required
• Required Skills and Abilities:
+ Familiarity with source control tools (e.g., Git), CI/CD systems, and Agile development practices.
+ Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to drive cross-functional initiatives.
• Preferred Skills:
+ Deep understanding of test design patterns, automation strategies, and software testing methodologies.
+ Experience with automated testing tools for UI, API, and integration layers.
+ Experience with performance and load testing tools such as **JMeter, Gatling, or k6** .
+ Exposure to containerization and orchestration tools like **Docker** and **Kubernetes** .
+ Experience working in a DevOps or continuous testing environment.
+ Previous experience in regulated industries (e.g., finance, healthcare, government) is a plus.

The likely salary range for this position is $123,250 - $166,750. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
