    Job Description:

Our work depends on Communications Specialist joining our team to support the Executive Communications Technical Support Team for USCENTCOM J6 Information Technology Services (CITS) Program in Tampa FL.

    HOW A NETWORK ADMINISTRATOR SENIOR WILL MAKE AN IMPACT:

    + Provides on-call/on-site support for all systems/services/networks operated and maintained by the Executive Communications Technical Support Team.

    + Provide technical support in the management of networks, software, hardware, configurations, and architectures.

    + Troubleshoots moderately complex system hardware and software issues.

    + Trains end users on the proper use of hardware and software.

    WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED:

    + Required Experience: 3+ years of related experience

    + Required Technical Skills: Applicable DoD 8140 or DoD 8570 Certification

    + Security Clearance Level: TS/SCI

    + Required Skills and Abilities:

    + Maintains an organization's computer systems' workflows and is responsible for the upkeep, configuration, and reliable operation of computer systems, including fixing network issues along with updating equipment and software.

    + Performs software installations and upgrades to operating systems and layered software packages.

    + Monitors and tunes systems to achieve optimum performance levels.

    + Ensures workstation/server data integrity by implementing standard software and hardware solutions.

    + Ensure data/media recoverability by following a schedule of system backups and database archive operations.

    + Conducts hardware and software audits of workstations and servers to ensure compliance with established standards, policies, and configuration guidelines.

    + Ensures that performance and security of computers meet the needs of network users.

    + May evaluate existing systems and assist with planning long-term strategies.

    + May coach and provide guidance to less-experienced professionals.

    + May serve as a team or task lead.

    + Supports design and planning of mobile and deployable network communications systems.

    + Provides support to the USCENTCOM COOP.

    + Installs laptop load set configurations including unique user profiles on all relevant mobile kit components within the scope of this task and update and modify these configurations or profiles as needed.

    + Maintains accurate inventory data of all equipment included in deployable communications suites and any spare equipment.

    + Preferred Skills:

    + CCNA

    + Microsoft certifications

    + A+, Net+ Experience with USCENTCOM and familiarity with its mission

    + Knowledge and familiarity with USCENTCOM’s IT environment

    + Location: On site in Tampa, FL

    + **Security Clearance Level: TS/SCI clearance required**

    The likely salary range for this position is $83,429 - $109,250. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
