    Job Description

    The AVP, Clinical Care (Clinical Transformation and Improvement) will provide operational oversight for the Clinical Care function, managing program goals, timelines, and objectives, and define measurable clinical practice metrics. They will develop relationships with clinical team members, and recommend operational improvements and efficient utilization of resources.

     

    The AVP will report to the system Associate Chief Medical Officer and VP of Clinical Transformation and Improvement. They will be a key leader within the Clinical Transformation and Improvement team.

     

    The AVP will work collaboratively with regional Health System and facility leaders in both understanding regional health system needs and telegraphing developing Enterprise care delivery initiatives and trends. This position draws upon a strong track record of successful operational improvement work based upon clinical need and contemporary improvement science methodology (IHI improvement model, lean, six sigma, PDSA).

    Job Responsibilities:

    + Leads the Clinical Care function by developing leaders and driving programs and initiatives that support and impact the overall Northwell health system goals.

    + Develops and articulates a long-term strategic vision for areas of responsibility.

    + Plans, organizes, and directs operational and administrative activities supporting a clinical program.

    + Develops framework for operational integration of clinical care delivery and technology with an emphasis on evidence-based practices.

    + Collaborates with facility administrators, clinical leaders, and staff clinicians to design and implement clinical performance improvement projects that improve the efficiency and effectiveness of patient care.

    + Develops an effective intra-disciplinary communications process across the organization for evidence-based practices and clinical integration projects.

    + Collaborates with clinical and other stakeholders to manage the operations of clinical integration projects including definitions, metrics, and objectives, and implementation plans.

    + Designs operational, safety, and administrative portions of clinical integration projects, and implement projects to meet objectives.

    + Oversees development and implementation of clinical staff operational training programs.

    Job Qualifications:

    + Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing required.

    + Current License to practice as a Registered Professional Nurse in New York State required, plus specialized certifications as needed.

    + 10-12 years of relevant experience and 7+ years of leadership / management experience, required.

    + Clinical leadership strongly rooted in at least one domain of care (inpatient/outpatient/care transition/community-based care) with familiarity with at least one of the remaining three, preferred.

    The salary range and/or hourly rate listed is a good faith determination of potential base compensation that may be offered to a successful applicant for this position at the time of this job advertisement and may be modified in the future.When determining a team member's base salary and/or rate, several factors may be considered as applicable (e.g., location, specialty, service line, years of relevant experience, education, credentials, negotiated contracts, budget and internal equity).

     

    The salary range for this position is $152,000-$266,000/year
