    Where You Will Work  

     

    Tyrone is an open-pit copper mining complex located in Grant County, New Mexico – just 10 miles south of the historic mining community of Silver City. The copper processing facilities currently consist of a solvent extraction/electrowinning operation with an annual maximum capacity of approximately 100 million pounds of copper.

    What You Will Do

    + Perform a variety of patrol, security, emergency response and customer service duties at assigned location.

    + Greet and log in all visitors and vendors at entrance gate

    + Notify appropriate personnel or department of arrival

    + Direct visitors and vendors to destination

    + Enforce company policies and procedures

    + Perform frequent patrols of the property

    + Walk, bicycles, or drives vehicle on irregularly scheduled rounds of property

    + Observe conditions of equipment, grounds and facilities

    + Pick up litter or debris as needed, or arranges clean-up with maintenance crews

    + Report damages or areas in need of repair to the Maintenance Supervisor

    + Conduct surveillance of locations or areas in which vandalism or criminal activities have been noted

    + Assist with and trained for emergency situations

    + Collaborate with police officers in the prevention of crime

    + Work with fire response units for fire suppression, and with medical emergency response units in the event of emergency situations, at the assigned location

    + Provide basic emergency medical response (e.g. performs CPR, gives basic first aid) when needed

    + Perform other duties as required

    What You Bring To Freeport

    + Current CPR and first aid certifications, as required by specific site location

    + Skilled in responding appropriately to emergency and conflict situations

    + Knowledge of site rules, regulations, policies and procedures

    + Knowledgeable of the site topography and locations of emergency equipment and access points

    + Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing

    Preferred Qualifications

    + High School diploma or GED

    + Security or Law Enforcement background

     

    What We Offer You

     

    The estimated pay range for this role is currently  **$16.00 - $21.50 hour.** This range reflects base salary only and does not include bonus payments, benefits or retirement contributions. Actual base pay is determined by experience, qualifications, skills and other job-related factors. This role is eligible for additional discretionary and incentive payment considerations based on company and individual performance. More details will be shared during the hiring process.
