Adecco is assisting one of their top clients with their search to fill a **Specialist Logistics!**
Pay: $ 21.47/hr
Shift: Mon - Fri, 8 AM - 5 PM

Job Description:
The Import Logistics Specialist is responsible for overseeing and managing the importation process to ensure timely and efficient delivery of goods while complying with all regulatory requirements. This role involves coordinating with suppliers, carriers, and internal teams to streamline import operations and optimize supply chain efficiency.
Responsibilities for this Specialist Logistics include but are not limited to:
• Customs Compliance: Ensure all import activities comply with relevant customs regulations and procedures.
• Documentation Management: Manage import documentation such as invoices, bills of lading, and customs declarations.
• Supplier Coordination: Communicate effectively with international suppliers to coordinate shipment schedules and resolve logistics issues.
• Freight Forwarding: Arrange transportation, including negotiating rates with carriers.
• Risk Management: Identify and mitigate risks associated with import processes, including delays and compliance issues.
• Cost Optimization: Seek opportunities to reduce import-related costs without compromising service quality.
• Performance Monitoring: Track and report key performance indicators (KPIs) related to import logistics, such as transit times and customs clearance efficiency.
• Continuous Improvement: Implement process improvements to enhance import logistics efficiency and effectiveness.
Experience required for this Specialist Logistics person position include:
• Highschool diploma.
• Proven experience (At least 1 year) in import logistics operations, preferably in a similar industry.
• Basic knowledge of customs regulations and international trade practices.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills.
• Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency in logistics software and Microsoft Office Suite.
• CargoWise proficiency is a plus

**Pay Details:** $21.47 per hour
