We are looking for a Manager 2 in our Quality Assurance Mission Systems team, who is an energetic individual ready to join a growing team to work on sight in our Baltimore, MD NGC facility. This manager will work in a dynamic environment, developing and implementing program quality plans, and procedures using statistical quality control techniques, lean manufacturing concepts, and six-sigma and analyses tools as well as managing and developing a team of 20+.

The Quality Manager develops, modifies, applies and maintains quality evaluation and control systems and protocols for processing materials into partially finished or finished materials product. Collaborates with engineering and manufacturing functions to ensure quality standards are in place. Devises and implements methods and procedures for inspecting, testing and evaluating the precision and accuracy of products and production equipment. Designs and analyzes inspection and testing processes, mechanisms and equipment; conducts quality assurance tests; and performs statistical analysis to assess the cost of and determine the responsibility for, products or materials that do not meet required standards and specifications. Audits quality systems for deficiency identification and correction. Ensures that corrective measures meet acceptable reliability standards and that documentation is compliant with requirements. May specialize in the areas of design, incoming material, production control, product evaluation and reliability, inventory control and/or research and development as they apply to product or process quality. May be certified in lean and six-sigma quality engineering methodologies. Supervisory or management responsibilities for more than one functional area in the Mission and Quality Assurance job family. **This position is required to be on site at Baltimore, Maryland.**

Basic Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree and 8+ years of quality or manufacturing work experience, Master’s and 6+ years of quality or manufacturing work experience; will also consider 12+ years of quality or manufacturing experience in lieu of a bachelors degree

Minimum of 3+ years of people leadership experience in a quality or manufacturing team environment.

CAM experience (Cost Account Manager)

Experience working with Government agencies.

Experience with ISO 9001/AS9100 Quality Management System certification process.

Ability to obtain and maintain DoD Secret security clearance (US Citizenship required).

Preferred Qualifications:

Experienced background in Audits

Six Sigma Green/Black Belt certification

Salary Range: $123,400.00 - $185,000.00

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
