We are seeking an experienced Animal Care Attendant to join our team at VCA Animal Wellness Center of Maple Grove. The successful candidate will share our commitment to delivering exceptional service to our loyal clientele and the highest quality care to their boarded pets.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Feeding, medicating, and caring for dogs and cats as well as monitoring the wellbeing of our boarders and communicating with Veterinarians and Technicians when necessary

Walking dogs

Cleaning enclosures used to house dogs and cats

Supervising doggie daycare sessions; we split groups based on size and run

Providing grooming services such as bathing, nail trims, etc.

Helping with cleaning duties such as laundry, washing dishes, etc.

Sanitizing and maintaining hospital premises

Assisting Veterinarians and Technicians when necessary

Excellent communication across different departments, with the hospital staff, and with clients. Communication is in-person, by phone, through client file notes, and via e-mail and text-message

Preferred Skills:

Knowledge of dog and cat body language and behavior.

General animal care and handling experience.

Familiarity with Microsoft Office and Outlook, as well as basic typing skills
