Job Title: Logistics ManagerJob Description
The Manager of Logistics is responsible for creating and implementing a uniform process for the efficient flow of materials and order fulfillment. This includes overseeing all processes and procedures related to shipping, component repair, warehousing, and logistics. The role is essential in aligning processes with financial goals and customer support expectations.
Responsibilities
+ Design and implement uniform processes and procedures to maximize efficiency.
+ Manage and improve the accuracy of parts in the MLB facility as well as global movements.
+ Create metrics to manage department deliverables.
+ Assure staff is trained and understands processes and procedures concerning their responsibilities.
+ Provide leadership to improve profit margin and process improvements to assure department efficiency.
+ Implement cost-saving initiatives supported by metrics.
+ Direct and guide the organization in all aspects related to outsourcing repair work to support the overall business plan.
+ Ensure efficient processes are in place to sustain vendor relationships.
+ Identify and cultivate new relationships and opportunities.
+ Facilitate the identification of problem areas and recommend quality improvement initiatives to promote effective and efficient business operations, processes, and practices.
+ Participate in the planning of all air lifts out of and into locations.
+ Confer with department heads to ensure coordination of warehouse activities with other departments' activities.
+ Promote the mission, vision, and values to maintain strong relationships with employees, customers, and stockholders.
+ Perform all other duties as assigned.
Essential Skills
+ Experience in logistics and supply chain management.
+ Supervision skills with 5 years of logistics experience in the aviation sector.
+ Proficiency in MRP for purchasing and inventory management.
+ Knowledge of ITAR regulations and international shipping.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ 5 years of Aviation Logistics Management experience.
+ Experience in international shipping of aircraft parts.
+ Understanding of ITAR regulations and compliance related to shipping aircraft parts.
+ Excellent process development skills.
+ Strong computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office suite.
+ Strong knowledge of MRP principles as they apply to purchasing and inventory management.
Work Environment
This is a direct hire role located onsite in Wellington, KS. The company is experiencing growth due to new business opportunities and shifting business work from another site.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $88000.00 - $130000.00/yr.
