Job Title: Assistant Finance ManagerJob Description
We are seeking an Assistant Finance Manager to oversee and manage the day-to-day financial operations, ensuring compliance with accounting policies and regulatory requirements. This role involves preparing financial reports, maintaining cash flow, and supporting the finance team in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
+ Monitor daily financial operations, including invoice payment, cash collections, and other transactions.
+ Review and process company payments.
+ Analyze and review inventory reports by item category.
+ Monitor and analyze accounting data to produce monthly and quarterly financial reports and statements.
+ Prepare and analyze monthly and quarterly management reports.
+ Maintain cash flow through reviewing banking activity and reconciling monthly reports.
+ Coordinate with various departments, outsourced accounting firms, and CPA auditors for required data and documents to complete monthly, quarterly, and year-end closings.
+ Prepare documents for CPA audit, SOX compliance, and tax returns.
+ Communicate with financial institutions to maintain banking procedures and lease contracts.
+ Collaborate with CPA to file income tax, sales tax, and other local tax returns.
+ Ensure compliance with accounting policies and regulatory requirements.
+ Participate in implementing changes to procedures, policies, and systems to facilitate business expansion and compliance.
+ Maintain the ERP system.
+ Supervise finance clerks.
+ Support the Finance Director and CFO in annual tasks and coordinate with the headquarters overseas.
Essential Skills
+ Bank reconciliation
+ Month-end close
+ Journal entry management
+ ASC 842 lease accounting
+ Advanced Excel skills including pivot tables, vlookups, and SUMIFS
+ ERP systems, specifically Microsoft Dynamics
+ Cash accounting
+ Proficiency in Japanese
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ 5+ years of relevant experience
+ Experience with income or sales tax
+ Open to senior accountants seeking advancement
+ Flexibility with ERP systems beyond Microsoft Dynamics
Work Environment
This position offers a hybrid work schedule with two days on-site. The work environment is extremely fast-paced, requiring the ability to work independently. The company culture emphasizes efficiency and adaptability, particularly due to the manual nature of processes that extend the close period to 20 days.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $87000.00 - $91000.00/yr.
