Job Title: Compensation & Finance Coordinator (Shipboard)Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated Compensation & Finance Coordinator to provide vital support to our Shipboard Compensation team. This role involves maintaining and updating compensation for crew members, positions, and contracts, ensuring accuracy in compensation changes throughout the year. You will assist with annual processes and contribute to various projects, ensuring seamless operations and compliance within our infrastructure.
Responsibilities
+ Process compensation changes for shipboard team members, including seniority increments, special pay compensation, and bonuses.
+ Monitor the Shipboard Compensation mailbox daily, responding promptly to inquiries.
+ Create new job codes with appropriate pay scale values and assign posts according to ship manning.
+ Ensure posts across all vessels are current according to budgeted manning.
+ Process changes per approved Change Request Forms and document them in shared folders.
+ Review and process compensation requests, including salary, status changes, position contracts, and availability.
+ Review recurring reports for changes and action all changes in systems such as MAPS, OneView, MXP, and PeopleSoft.
+ Coordinate with payroll to ensure timely and accurate payroll processing.
+ Process annual increases for eligible shipboard team members in compliance with union contracts.
+ Create compensation statements using appropriate templates.
+ Assist with system testing, data entry projects, and special projects.
+ Work closely with Shipboard HR Operations to ensure accurate compensation modifications.
+ Identify compliance errors impacting compensation for shipboard team members.
+ Perform other job-related functions as assigned.
Essential Skills
+ High School Diploma; Associates' degree or above preferred in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related fields.
+ 0-1 years' experience in administrative or Human Resources roles.
+ Intermediate proficiency with MS Office programs, especially MS Excel.
+ Strong communication skills, both written and oral.
+ Strong attention to detail.
+ Ability to manage time effectively to meet deadlines.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Cruise or hospitality industry experience is a plus.
+ Ability to build proficiency with internal systems such as MAPS, MXP, OneView, and PeopleSoft.
Work Environment
This position is for a duration of 3 months with the possibility of extension. The work schedule is from 7:30am-4:30pm or 8:00am-5:00pm, including a 1-hour lunch break. Remote work is available on Mondays and Fridays.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $25.00/hr.
