    A Day in Your Life at MKS:As a data scientist/data analyst at MKS, you will partner with corporate functions such as Finance, Sales, Marketing etc to define predictive use case, analyze data, implement machine learning models and data presentations. This has the flexibility to be a Hybrid role. In this role, you will report to the IT Director, Data & AnalyticsJob Responsibilities:

    + Data Collection: Gather data from various sources, including databases, APIs, and external datasets.

    + Data Cleaning: Clean and preprocess data to ensure accuracy and consistency.

    + Data Analysis: Analyze large volumes of structured and unstructured data to identify trends, patterns, and insights.

    + Model Development: Develop and implement machine learning models and predictive algorithms.

    + Statistical Analysis: Use statistical techniques to validate findings and ensure accuracy.

    + Visualization: Create visualizations and reports to communicate insights to stakeholders.

    + Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including data engineers, analysts, and business leaders.

    + Documentation: Maintain comprehensive documentation of data processes, models, and findings.

    • Travel Requirements: None.Required Skills:

    + Programming Languages: Proficiency in languages such as Python, R, or SQL.

    + Statistical Analysis: Strong knowledge of statistical methods and techniques.

    + Machine Learning: Experience with machine learning frameworks and libraries (e.g., TensorFlow, scikit-learn).

    + Data Visualization: Skills in data visualization tools like Tableau, Power BI, or Matplotlib.

    + Database Technologies: Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases.

    + Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

    + Communication: Excellent communication and presentation abilities.

    Preferred Qualification:

    + Education: Bachelor's or master's degree in data science, Statistics, Computer Science, or a related field.

    + Experience: Previous experience in a similar role or in data analysis, machine learning, or statistical modeling.

    + Certifications: Relevant certifications in data science or machine learning.

    Physical Demands and Working Conditions:

    + Perform activities such as sitting, standing, or typing for extended periods of time

    + Regularly requires good manual dexterity and coordination

    + Must be able to communicate information and ideas so others will understand

    + Must be able to exchange accurate information

    + The ability to observe documents and details at close range (within a few feet of the observer)

    + Operates in a professional office environment

    + Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery

    + Noise level in the work environment is usually average
