*The University of Maryland School of Nursing (UMSON) is seeking a full-time Assistant Professor*to contribute to the instruction of graduate nursing students in the*Nursing Leadership and Management (NLM) Specialty in the Department of Organizational Systems and Adult Health*. This faculty position will focus on delivering consistent, high quality, course content and competency-based education to NLM students and will also support leadership courses for DNP students. Applicants should have expertise in nursing leadership and executive management. UMSON enrolls more than 2,000 students in its baccalaureate, master's, and doctoral programs. UMSON is part of the University of Maryland Baltimore professional campus that also includes the schools of dentistry, medicine, law, pharmacy, and social work, as well as the Graduate School, and is one of the fastest growing biomedical research centers in the nation. ** *Essential Functions:* Develop, organize, deliver, and evaluate nursing leadership and management courses and precepted practicum experiences that focus on nursing leadership and executive management. • Use principles of competency-based education for educating graduate students. • Advises and mentors graduate students. • Participate in a program of scholarship. • Contributes to faculty governance and service to the nursing profession. • Other duties as assigned. *Hiring Range:*$122,000 *Benefits Information:*UMB offers a generous benefits package that includes 22 vacation days, 14 floating and holidays, 15 sick days; comprehensive health insurance and retirement options; and tuition remission for employees and their dependents at any of the University System of Maryland schools. • Earned Doctoral degree (PhD, EdD, or DNP) • Current Registered Nurse license to practice in the state of Maryland. • Minimum of 2 years nursing clinical leadership level and administrative experience • Prior experience in nursing education required.
