Manufacturing Engineer – Flight-Critical Avionics Systems
• About the Role
We’re looking for a highly skilled Manufacturing Engineer with sharp technical instincts and a results-driven mindset to support the design and production of flight-critical avionics systems. This role requires a solid foundation in mechanical engineering, with the ability to pivot between prototype and production-level design.
Key Responsibilities
+ Develop precise 3D and 2D mechanical designs for avionics hardware
+ Conduct structural and thermal design analyses
+ Integrate, test, and troubleshoot mechanical and electronic systems
+ Draft work instructions, SOPs, and comprehensive test plans
+ Drive continuous improvement using Lean and Six Sigma methodologies
+ Support both R&D and production builds across the manufacturing lifecycle
+ Ensure material flow systems run seamlessly to production lines
Required Skills
+ 4+ years in manufacturing engineering or equivalent hands-on experience
+ 1+ year with electromechanical system integration and troubleshooting
+ Proficiency in CAD tools (e.g., SolidWorks, Siemens NX/Unigraphics)
Preferred Qualifications
+ Bachelor’s in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
+ Internship or leadership experience in college technical organizations
+ Strong technical writing ability
+ Familiar with automated manufacturing and testing processes (assembly, ATP/QTP, environmental testing)
+ Certified or trained in Lean, 5S, Six Sigma, or other Operational Excellence systems
+ Proven strengths in root cause analysis, problem-solving, and documentation
+ Excellent communication and leadership skills in cross-functional settings
Shift Options:
• Sun–Wed, 6:00 AM – 4:30 PM
• Wed–Sat, 6:00 AM – 4:30 PM
• Sun–Wed, 5:00 PM – 3:30 AM
• Wed–Sat, 5:00 PM – 3:30 AM
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $66.70 - $66.70/hr.
