    Job Title: Mechanical DesignerJob Description

     

    We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Designer to join our team. This role involves designing heating, ventilation, and cooling systems, as well as plumbing systems, for a range of projects. The successful candidate will play a critical role in ensuring the efficient and effective design of various mechanical systems, coordinating with other disciplines, and ensuring compliance with construction documents.

    Responsibilities

    + Design heating-ventilation-cooling systems and plumbing systems.

    + Perform load calculations, life cycle costing, and energy modeling.

    + Design refrigeration systems for industrial and commercial buildings.

    + Coordinate with other disciplines and work collaboratively in a team environment.

    + Review installation of designed equipment/systems for compliance with construction documents.

    + Manage multiple projects within established schedules.

    + Work on a variety of project types, scales, and complexities.

    + Prepare construction cost estimates, both broad and detailed.

    + Assist in developing contract specifications and researching new procedures/products.

    + Perform all work safely and responsibly, following the Health and Safety Plan.

    + Act as a positive representative of the company and its core values.

    + Perform other duties as assigned.

    Essential Skills

    + Proficiency in Revit, mechanical design, MEP design, HVAC design, and refrigeration.

    + Engineer-In-Training (EIT) or Engineer Intern (EI) Certification.

    + Minimum of 2 years of mechanical design experience, including refrigeration design.

    + Strong teamwork, communication, and client relationship skills.

    + Ability to work in a dynamic, team-oriented environment.

    + Strong work ethic and solid organizational skills.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Ability to work effectively on a wide variety of project types and scales.

    + Experience in preparing construction cost estimates.

    + Research skills for new procedures and products.

    Work Environment

    The company offers a family-oriented environment with a small team of 10 employees. The office has a bullpen-like layout, promoting collaboration.     Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $35.00/hr.
