Technical WriterJob Description

This position involves developing, analyzing, collecting, and storing various system support technical data elements and specifications. The role supports evaluating and making recommendations on product supportability and establishing operational maintenance tasks, resources, and systems to achieve supportability requirements for a single equipment subsystem. Additionally, the role includes identifying logistics support candidates from product definition and developing logistics support analysis records and reports. It also involves determining spares provisioning requirements for spare and replacement parts, levels, and stocking for a single customer and contract type. The position requires participation in preparing technical documentation for operating, testing, and maintaining aircraft systems and components, as well as reviewing aircraft and fleet operational performance, reliability, and availability.

Responsibilities

+ Develop and modify technical publications, collaborating closely with engineering, program teams, and customers to review new procedures and create updated publications.

+ Interpret source data from engineering to integrate into publications.

+ Identify and analyze logistics support candidates and develop logistics support analysis records and reports.

+ Determine spares provisioning requirements for spare and replacement parts, levels, and stocking.

+ Prepare technical documentation for operating, testing, and maintaining aircraft systems/components.

+ Review aircraft and/or fleet operational performance, reliability, and availability.

Essential Skills

+ Recent F-15 platform-specific Avionics Maintenance experience.

+ Previous defense platform experience, supporting the military customer (F-15 preferred).

+ Three years of previous F-15 Avionics Systems Maintenance Experience (on aircraft).

+ Computer literacy/IT Software tool experience (Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe, Outlook).

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ Experience with Communications/Navigations Systems.

+ Experience with Electrical Systems.

+ Experience with Weapons Systems.

+ Experience with Integrations Systems.

+ Experience with Radar/Electronic Warfare Systems.

+ Technical Publication Authoring Experience.

Work Environment

The position is primarily an indoor 'desk job,' working in an office environment. There may be limited travel required. The job offers a 12-month contract with negotiable paid time off and holiday benefits. It involves working for a major defense company.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $35.00/hr.
