• Staff Surveyor

    Actalent (Morristown, NJ)


    Job Description:

    + Performing field tasks such as recovering survey markers, conducting boundary and topographic surveys, collecting utility data, and documenting site conditions through photography.

    + Assisting with the collection of data and invert data to support mapping and design efforts.

    + Gaining hands-on experience with emerging technologies, including UAV (drone) systems and 3D scanning tools.

    + Supporting office operations with tasks such as CAD drafting, data processing, historical records research, and document organization.

    + Helping maintain and troubleshoot survey instruments and related equipment.

    + Staying informed on industry standards, best practices, and technological advancements through internal and external training opportunities.

    + Contributing ideas and suggestions to enhance workflow efficiency and service quality.

    Requirements:

    + At least 3+ years of experience in land surveying

    + Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D

    + Degree in surveying is a plus, but not required

    + Experience with laser scanning and point cloud technology

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $90000.00 - $110000.00/yr.
