    Position Title Adjunct Faculty - Social Science- Geography (Online)

    Hours Part-time, include requirement and total hours per week - up to 19 hrs per week

    Summary of Position

    To teach online Geography courses as assigned. Some courses may be dual credit. Instructor is required to be actively engaged in the course multiple days a week per policy. Instructor will need content knowledge,technological proficiency and develop online teaching strategies.

     

    Minimum Required Education

     

    Master’s Degree from a nationally, regionally, or identified at the state level accredited institution of higher education with 18 graduate hours in Geography including course work that aligns with Geography courses listed in the CTC college catalog

     

    Minimum Required Experience

     

    Prefer college level teaching experience in Geography.

    Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

    + Demonstrated written and oral communications skills.

    + Knowledge of LMS such as Blackboard, Canvas, Moodle, or D2L: efficient with uploading materials, grading, running discussions

    + Advanced computer skills, must be comfortable in using various software platforms including PowerPoint, Google Slides, or Prezi (with voiceovers or video)

    + Ability to manage email and respond to emails in a timely manner.

    + Ability to manage forums and discussion boards, manage assignments and be timely in grading.
