Job Title: Pump Technician

Job Description

The Pump Technician will be based out of the Newburg, PA shop. The role involves working on both commercial and residential installations, including underground pipe work and heavy equipment operation, as well as light electrical and plumbing tasks. The technician will also be responsible for troubleshooting service issues related to water systems.

Responsibilities

+ Monitor water treatment systems and take readings during the shift.

+ Install pumps and perform light electrical wiring and plumbing for pressure tanks and switches.

+ Communicate effectively with customers to ensure satisfaction and address concerns.

+ Troubleshoot service issues such as no water calls, low pressure, or ditch leaks.

+ Operate heavy equipment for underground pipe work in various commercial settings.

+ Perform water system installations, including setting well pumps and running lines.

+ Conduct electrical diagnostics and repair associated with residential pump systems.

+ Pull and replace well pumps using pump puller and hoist trucks.

Essential Skills

+ Experience in electrical work, plumbing, and HVAC systems.

+ Ability to operate heavy equipment and perform underground pipe work.

+ Proficiency in troubleshooting, wiring, and conduit work.

+ Strong problem-solving skills.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ Experience with commercial plumbing or electrical projects.

+ Capability to perform diagnostics on electrical systems (amps, volts, mega ohms).

+ Skill in using hand/power tools for installation and repair.

Work Environment

This mid-sized company operates from two locations in Greencastle, PA, and Newville, PA. **_*The technician will initially ride with another tech and work at new job sites daily.*_**

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $23.00/hr.
