Job Title: Industrial Mechanic
Job Description
A manufacturing company near Jersey Village is seeking an experienced industrial mechanic to join their team on the day shift. The successful candidate will disassemble, clean, and inspect high-precision industrial equipment, document findings, determine the scope of repairs, and communicate the materials and supplies needed. The role requires reading and interpreting blueprints and performing repairs and reassembly of final products. Prior experience in repairing diesel engines, gearboxes, or other high-precision rotating equipment is essential.
Responsibilities
+ Disassemble, clean, and inspect high-precision industrial equipment.
+ Document findings and determine the scope of repairs.
+ Communicate materials and supplies needed for repairs.
+ Read and interpret blueprints.
+ Perform repairs and reassembly of final products.
Essential Skills
+ 3+ years of experience in gearbox repair or diesel engine repair.
+ Experience in assembling or disassembling high-precision parts.
+ Blueprint reading experience.
+ Possess own tools.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Proficiency in mechanical repairs and maintenance.
+ Experience in industrial and maintenance repair.

Work Environment
The work environment is a small manufacturing shop specializing in precision bearings and gearboxes. The facility is clean and climate-controlled. The first shift operates Monday through Friday, with overtime as needed. Working hours vary: 7AM-3PM for 8-hour shifts, 5AM-3PM for 10-hour shifts, and 5AM-5PM for 12-hour shifts. Candidates must be open to working 12-hour shifts as needed.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Houston, Texas.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $32.00/hr.
