Job Description
Join our team as a Warehouse Worker II, where you will play a crucial role in fulfilling internal and external customer requests by following standard operating procedures within a dynamic warehouse environment. You will work in various functional areas, including receiving, picking, packing, and shipping.
Responsibilities
+ Process orders according to the priority set by the Group Lead to meet customer requirements.
+ Receive, pick, package, and label shipments in accordance with Distribution SOPs and work instructions.
+ Operate picking carts or powered industrial trucks to locate materials and fulfill orders throughout the Distribution Center.
+ Complete paper documentation requirements for packing and shipping hazardous chemicals.
+ Maintain good housekeeping practices to keep inventory neat, clean, and orderly.
+ Verify proper storage conditions of products and report any inventory issues, such as expired products or out-of-stocks.
+ Assist other team members as needed to ensure customer satisfaction and maintain strong employee relations and teamwork.
Essential Skills
+ Proficiency in all aspects of distribution and departmental standard operating procedures.
+ Ability to maintain a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
+ Capacity to work independently and solve problems effectively.
+ Regular, reliable, and predictable attendance is necessary for adequate scheduling and coverage.
+ Ability to stand and move around the department constantly, involving frequent walking, stooping, bending, and reaching.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ High school diploma or equivalent required.
+ 2+ years of general warehouse experience preferred.
+ Experience with powered industrial trucks (order pickers) is a plus.
+ Experience handling hazardous materials (chemicals) is a plus.
+ Experience with computers and scanning equipment is advantageous.

Work Environment
This position requires working in a distribution center that may be cold in the winter and hot in the summer. As a warehouse colleague, you will help deliver various products, from personal protective equipment to scientific tools. Your role is vital in supporting our mission to advance science and health. Dress code is casual, and teamwork is highly encouraged.
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of FLORENCE, KY.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $18.00/hr.
