Also responsible for processing specimens, performing waived and minimal moderate complexity testing, performing and documenting quality controls, and using multiple information systems to locate orders and report results.

    Required Qualifications:

    + High School diploma or GED equivalent.

    + Must be able to read, write, and communicate effectively.

    + Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

    + Basic computer skills.

    Preferred Qualifications:

    + Courses in phlebotomy, medical terminology, and anatomy and physiology.

    + Successful completion of a phlebotomy, medical assisting, or emergency technician program.

    + 6 months of phlebotomy experience.

    + Experience with electronic health records and laboratory information systems.

    + Specimen Processing

    + Experience using a microscope.

    + Knowledge of good laboratory practice including documentation and quality control.
