Under the broad direction of the Director, Assistant Director, Coordinator and the Radiologist, the Student Sonographer will perform sonographic examinations on selective portions of the anatomy as requested by the clinician. The Student Ultrasound Technologist is expected to perform a variety of ultrasound procedures with knowledge and ability for the purpose of obtaining diagnostic quality studies. Responsible to obtain patient history and appropriate clinical data to aid in proper diagnostic correlation. Direct supervision is required until competency is proven; indirect supervision and image review by a qualified Sonographer is required otherwise prior to submission of images for diagnosis.
