St. Mary’s Healthcare is actively seeking a compassionate and skilled Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) to join our growing Primary Care team in Amsterdam, NY. In this hospital-employed, outpatient role, the FNP will provide comprehensive, patient-centered care to a diverse population across Fulton and Montgomery Counties. Responsibilities:

+ Obtain medical histories and perform physical assessments through interviews, observation, and exams

+ Order, perform, and interpret diagnostic and laboratory tests

+ Deliver preventative health screenings and chronic disease management

+ Provide direct treatment and care management, including prescriptive authority

+ Educate and counsel patients and families on treatment plans, preventative health, and community resources

+ Document care and follow-up in accordance with organizational policies and specialty area standards

Qualifications:

Required Credentials - Certified and Registered Nurse Practitioner (FNP) by the New York State Education Department (NYSED)

Preferred Experience - Prior experience in family medicine or primary care settings preferred. Experience working in rural or underserved communities a plus

Education - Graduation from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program

Skills - Strong collaboration, clinical decision-making, patient education, and patient-centered communication skills.

Compensation & Benefits:

+ Base Salary Range - $92,965 – $125,565 (commensurate with experience).
