    Job Title: Maintenance Technician

    Job Description

    We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to ensure the smooth operation of shop equipment and facilities. This role involves coordinating planned maintenance activities, performing general upkeep, and overseeing repairs by external vendors, all while maintaining an organized and safe workspace.

    Responsibilities

    + Ensure all shop equipment is operational and functioning correctly.

    + Coordinate with the Chief of Maintenance for planned maintenance of equipment, vehicles, and building grounds.

    + Perform general maintenance tasks on vehicles, shop machinery, fabrication equipment, tools, building systems, and grounds.

    + Oversee maintenance and repairs conducted by outside vendors under the direction of the Chief of Maintenance.

    + Maintain a clean and safe workspace.

    Essential Skills

    + Proven experience in preventive and facility maintenance.

    + Proficiency in maintenance repair, including pneumatic and hydraulic systems.

    + A minimum of 3 years of experience in industrial or commercial maintenance.

    + Experience in repairing industrial machinery, preferably in a metal fabrication setting.

    + General knowledge of carpentry, electrical, and plumbing.

    + Ability to operate heavy equipment, such as forklifts and skid steerers.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Ability to troubleshoot issues with machinery, including welding equipment, CNC machinery, and crane systems.

    + Capability in general grounds maintenance and willingness to perform outside building maintenance as needed.

    + Experience as an auto mechanic is advantageous.

    Work Environment

     

    The work environment is an open shop setting, characterized by hot temperatures in the summer and cold temperatures in the winter. The shop is filled with loud machinery, providing a dynamic and industrial atmosphere. The shift is from 6am to 2:30pm, Monday to Friday, with occasional Saturdays from 6am to 12pm.

    This is a full-time position based out of Rowley, Massachusetts.

     

    Pay and Benefits

     

    The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $35.00/hr.
