Job Title: General Production Worker ($17-$18/hour)

Job Description

Join a dedicated team at a facility that specializes in using a chemical dip system and other specialized coatings removal dipping operations to effectively remove coatings from various metals.

Responsibilities

+ Load and unload ovens and tanks.

+ Process products through the chemical dip system and specialized coatings removal operations.

+ Package products for shipment.

+ Comply with benchmark processing times.

+ Rotate parts from the stripping process to the wash bay, RP, dry-off ovens, and packing area.

+ Power wash parts and products with a 3000psi power washer.

+ Load hand baskets and rotate parts between baskets.

+ Identify and sort parts to download into containers.

+ Reposition parts as required.

+ Complete wash logs, oven logs, and weight charts.

+ Operate scales effectively.

+ Start burn-off oven and dry-off oven operations.

+ Participate in continuous improvement activities.

+ Adhere to all safety policies and procedures.

+ Ensure the highest level of safety standards.

+ Communicate and interact effectively, timely, and respectfully with other employees, supervisors, individuals from other organizations, and customers.

+ Maintain general housekeeping of the plant and surrounding areas.

+ Comply with all Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) requirements and safe handling practices as required by Safety Data Sheets (SDS) and company procedures.

+ Follow WHMIS, MSDS, and all other safety training requirements and procedures.

+ Comply with all government and regulatory requirements when handling and transporting chemical materials.

+ Foster a positive work environment.

+ Maintain regular and sustained attendance.

+ Perform other duties as assigned or needed.

Essential Skills

+ 1+ years of manufacturing/production experience.

+ Ability to read and interpret documents.

+ Great verbal and written communication skills.

+ Able to lift 50lbs.

+ Experience with general production and machine operating.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ 1+ years of sit-down forklift experience.

+ Experience in the coatings removal industry is a plus.

Work Environment

The facility operates on 1st Shift from 6:00am to 02:30pm and 2nd Shift from 3:00pm to 11:30pm. Employees will frequently be exposed to wet and humid conditions, fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, extreme heat, and loud noise levels. The position allows for various working hours.

This is a permanent position based out of Chilton, Wisconsin.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $18.00/hr.
