Job Title: Quality Technician

Job Description

The Quality Department is committed to ensuring that all products meet or exceed safe food handling and quality standards. This role involves taking corrective actions when necessary, collaborating with Operations and other stakeholders to maintain safety and quality parameters, and ensuring that all controls function as designed.

Responsibilities

+ Assist in problem-solving events to determine root causes and establish preventive measures.

+ Apply knowledge of all laboratory procedures and cross-functional training to cover Quality Control and Assurance checks.

+ Serve as a Trainer for QA Lab, Line, and department policies and procedures.

+ Perform sensory evaluations on samples and document findings as necessary.

+ Ensure effective collection and shipment of customer samples with appropriate documentation.

+ Work independently at the batch station and escalate issues when necessary.

+ Make necessary adjustments using experience and tools provided at the frontline station for all lines/product SKUs independently.

Essential Skills

+ Proficiency in quality control, quality assurance, and quality inspection.

+ Experience using inspection tools and gages.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

+ Adherence to internal policies, including GMP practices and attendance policies.

+ Exceptional organizational, planning, and time management skills.

+ Strong verbal and written communication skills.

+ Ability to follow directions and work independently with limited supervision.

+ Detail-oriented with the ability to maintain accurate and legible documentation.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of Walton, Kentucky.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $24.00/hr.
