Job Title: Production Technician - 1st Shift

Job Description

As a Production Technician, you will be responsible for maintaining over 100 machines including CNCs and robots, which are used for manufacturing various automotive parts such as brake pads and rotors. You will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of these machines through regular maintenance and emergency repairs.

Responsibilities

+ Check and maintain coolant and lubricant levels in assigned machines, replenishing or replacing as necessary.

+ Use a spectrometer to assess fluid quality and determine if it requires replacement.

+ Remove excess metal shavings from machine reservoirs and dispose of them properly.

+ Collaborate with the Plant and Maintenance Manager for emergency repairs on machines.

Essential Skills

+ 1+ year of experience in a machine shop/CNC environment.

+ Basic computer and data entry skills.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ Experience in changing lubricants/coolants and performing preventative maintenance is highly desirable.

+ Proficiency in using hand tools.

+ Ability to perform heavy lifting and troubleshoot technical issues.

+ Candidates who can work independently and are comfortable with getting dirty are preferred.

Work Environment

The facility is well-lit, but features tight spaces between machines and walkways. All equipment is moved manually on wheels as the aisles are too narrow for forklifts.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Waupun, Wisconsin.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $24.00/hr.
