Job Title: General Production Worker

Job Description

This role involves working on your feet for 8 hours per shift in a labor-intensive environment that is not climate-controlled. Candidates must have manufacturing experience.

Responsibilities

+ Assist on structured packing line, including layering product and pinning together with metal rods/hand-held tools.

Essential Skills

+ Ability to read standard/metric tape measure

+ Mechanically inclined

+ Commitment to safety and quality

+ Previous experience in a manufacturing environment is a plus

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ High School Diploma/GED required

+ 6 months of manufacturing experience preferred

+ Ability to perform kitting parts, drilling, grinding, reading blueprints, material kit setups, and assembly

+ No licenses or certifications required

Work Environment

The production/manufacturing facility houses around 180 shop employees and 400 total staff including office personnel. It operates multiple shifts in a 24/7 format. The work setting is not climate-controlled, so expect hot summers and cold winters. Employees will frequently work outside in the shipping yard/dock area. The dress code includes jeans, a T-shirt, and steel-toed shoes, with PPE such as earplugs and safety goggles provided.

This is a Contract position based out of WICHITA, KS.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $16.00 - $18.00/hr.
