    Job Title: Welder

    Job Description

    As a Welder, you will be responsible for reading blueprints to weld large-scale steel and aluminum fixtures for the power and construction industry. Your primary welding technique will be MIG welding, with occasional use of Flux Core welding. Additionally, you will assist with fitting responsibilities and machine operation when needed.

    Responsibilities

    + Read and interpret blueprints for welding projects.

    + Perform MIG welding and occasional Flux Core welding on steel and aluminum fixtures.

    + Assist with fitting responsibilities as required.

    + Operate machinery and saws to support welding tasks.

    Essential Skills

    + Proficiency in MIG welding with 3+ years of experience.

    + Experience in Flux Core welding for at least 1 year.

    + Ability to read blueprints and weld symbols accurately.

    + Competence in machine and saw operation.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + 1+ years of experience in fitting.

    + Strong understanding of blueprint reading.

    Work Environment

     

    The work environment includes first shift hours from 6am to 4:30pm, Monday through Friday, and 6am to noon on Saturdays. You will work in an open environment with large windows that are adjusted seasonally. While not climate controlled, large fans are used to maintain a comfortable temperature. The shop is clean and organized, providing a conducive space for productivity.

    This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Kenosha, Wisconsin.

     

    Pay and Benefits

     

    The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $25.00/hr.
